Hello, today I’ll write about the job I would like to have in the future. As a public administration student, my future job will be oriented to public service. After graduating, I have two options in which I would like to work: at a municipality outside Santiago in the area of community development, or if I stay in Santiago, at the Ministry of Social Development. I think it’s an interior job, in an office, although it can also be field work, I would like the both areas and travel if it’s necessary. In the future, I would like to make a master in public policy at the University of Chile because it’s a wide professional field. After this, I would like to work in design and implementation of public policies because I believe that’s the way I could contribute to the welfare of society and contribute to a fairer society. I like watching series but I don't have an absolutely favorite series, I like several but at the moment I'm watching House of Cards and it has become one of the best series I've seen. It’s a political thriller whose main characters are the ambitious Frank and Claire Underwood who are ready to do anything for power. Other characters are:   Garrett Walker, President of the United States of America; Douglas Stamper and Zoe Barnes, who are allies to Frank. It's interesting how the characters are constantly evolving, they're very well written and the performances are excellent. My favorite episode is when Frank Underwood is designated President of the United States of America because   he   finally has the power that he wants, but he isn't described as a good President. My best friend My best friend is called Macarena. We met each other at school, when she arrived to the city where I lived. I was the first person who spoke to her at school and since that day we became friends. Through the years she turned into my best friend, we have been friends for about eight years. Before we finished school, we went to other cities because of the University, now I live in Santiago and she lives in Viña del Mar and she studies Laws at PUCV. Because of the distance and time, we don’t see each other very often as we want, but  we are  always  communicated. I think that I consider her my best friend because our personalities are very similar and we have the same black humor. The best concert ever The best concert I ever have been was the concert of “The Rolling Stones” in February 2016 and it was at “Estadio Nacional”. The Rolling Stones is a very important British rock band with a long career and they have a lot of musical hits. I went with my father because he’s a big fan of The Rolling and he was waiting for 21 years since the last time that they played at Chile. I grow up listening The Rolling so I’m a fan too. The concert was very exciting because it was waited for years and all the people at the stadium was so happy for see them and listen their music. Welcome to English class Hi, my name is María Eugenia Vera, I’m from Osorno so I live in Santiago since   I’m studying Public Administration. I guess that my weakness in English are related to listening, because sometimes is difficult to me understand all that I listen. Another weakness may be that I need to think in Spanish before talk in English, I really want someday can think in English. In relation to my strengths, I think that I have vocabulary even if I want that it would be bigger. Another strength is that it’s not very difficult to me the pronunciation. But in my opinion, my largest strengths is writing because of it´s easier for me than listening or speaking. About my expectations for the English class, I hope that give me more tools and knowledge of English language because I think that it’s a very important language and I really enjoy learning English.

A country I would like to visit If I must choose a country I'd like to go, I choose Egypt. I’d like to know Egypt because I think that it’s a fantastic country for its history, culture, heritage and architecture. I know something about its history like the pharaohs, mythology and geographical location; for me it’s very interesting to know that civilization. I’d like to know its capital Cairo and Alexandria, which was founded by Alexander the Great. T he Lighthouse of Alexandria and the Library of Alexandria was in this   city. I’d visit all the archaeological sites, the temples, the Great Sphinx of Giza and the Pyramids Keops, Kephren and Mycerin that are one of the seven wonders of the world.
